eMobility: HOLZER Corporate Group designs eCargo transport vehicle

Monday, July 28, 2014

A purely electrical power pack with a loading capacity of 1,500 litres. For a few years now, the HOLZER Corporate Group has been involved in the area of e mobility.

Our young development team was really delighted to have successfully completed the eCargo Development Project together with the Munich University of Applied Sciences and other partners. A development project for the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology.

This involves a lightweight motor vehicle that could be used in the first CO2-free city of Germany as well as in extensive production plants. In this context, it would be helpful, for example, to develop and use a supervised, pilot-run vehicle pool in a field test in order to collect further practical data.

The eCargo vehicle is driven by electric motors which, in turn, gain their energy from a set of batteries. The vehicle can almost turn on the spot and is designed for utility superstructures.

By carrying out this project, the HOLZER Corporate Group has once again contributed a little bit to more sustainibility for our future. Our company staff in the business area of Engineering will always be happy to answer any questions you may have in the fields of e mobility and lightweight construction.
