Holzer Corporate Group designs 2014 Championship Rally Car

Saturday, October 25, 2014

On the exterior, the rally cars with the 190 HP strong engines look like the Adam series model. But in their interior, they demonstrate motorsport at its best.

The ADAC Opel Rally Junior Team with driver Marijan Griebel and his co-driver Alexander Rath could already successfully record six victories in division 5 of the ADAC Rally Masters. The second ADAC Opel Rally Junior Team with driver Fabian Kreim and his navigator Michael Kölback could also attain excellent results. In the 2014 rally season, all of the maximum eight victories went to the ADAC Opel Rally Junior Teams (Adam R2).

The Opel Adam R2 thus remained unbeaten in its first racing season and the team Griebel/Rath gained the German Championship title in the  R2 category before the end of the last championship round.

Prior to that the Opel ADAM R2 team, Esteban Vallin and Borja Odriozola, won the Spanish Championship in the R2 category, whilst their Opel ADAM R2 team mates from France are also currently  shown in the first championship position and are thus heading for another title.

Another sensational surprise is that the 190 HP strong Opel ADAM R2 was competing in the midst of the leaders in their 300 hp strong WRC R5 rally cars and was driven by 15 global brand teams. In the third round of the French Championship series, the Rallye Région Limousin – Lac de Vassivière, the OPEL ADAM R2 driven by Yoann Bonato and his co-driver Thierry Michaudeinen finished in sixth place surprising all competitors and automobile manufacturers alike.

The new rally car Opel Adam R2, which is not only able to win but also to dominate competitions, was designed in a partnership that has grown over many years between the Adam Opel AG and the HOLZER Corporate Group. We wish to congratulate all the international teams, ADAC and OPEL for their success and are looking forward to an exciting European rally season in 2015 that is currently already being prepared again in the unique Holzer way.

Entirely in accordance with our motto: we make success orderable.

How can we be of service to you? Put us to the test!
